Early morning groove

I have been waking up early at 5 since over a year now, it started when a pup came home and I had to get him out in the morning. It was a lot of friction initially more like "itni subh kya krna hai, kabhi nai hoga" stuff. As I had to I thought wow, ye same subh har roz hoti hai? the peace, view, air outside also how efficient the rest of the day becomes. You will know when you experience it. I will breakdown frictions I had and how I eliminated my way.

Optimising sleep routine:

To wake up early, first thing is to take care of sleep routine. I have experienced all the trial and error, it took long time to get into habit so i know our small activity has lot of impact that we do not relate on regular basis.

  1. Not going to bed with phone. keep it in different room.
  2. Cut off from work, email, all kind of screen time after 8.
  3. Get evening sunset light outside for few minutes, it sets biological clock.
  4. I prefer reading book before bed.
  5. Having meal 2 hours before sleep. It helps in deep sleep.
  6. Forgiving and changing negative thoughts before going to bed.
  7. Use your bed only to sleep, no reading, eating or studying. It helps fall asleep quickly.

Getting out of bed early:

  1. To use a physical alarm.
  2. Not thinking or sleeping in bed after waking up.
  3. Physical movement and morning sunlight helps awkening.
  4. The thing which gravitate me and has kept me hooked to wake up early is morning meditation experience. The feel of stillness, peace and happiness that follows throughout the day, i have not experienced any other time of the day.
