Early morning groove
I have been waking up early at 5 since over a year now, it started when a pup came home and I had to get him out in the morning. It was a lot of friction initially more like "itni subh kya krna hai, kabhi nai hoga" stuff. As I had to I thought wow, ye same subh har roz hoti hai? the peace, view, air outside also how efficient the rest of the day becomes. You will know when you experience it. I will breakdown frictions I had and how I eliminated my way.
Optimising sleep routine:
To wake up early, first thing is to take care of sleep routine. I have experienced all the trial and error, it took long time to get into habit so i know our small activity has lot of impact that we do not relate on regular basis.
- Not going to bed with phone. keep it in different room.
- Cut off from work, email, all kind of screen time after 8.
- Get evening sunset light outside for few minutes, it sets biological clock.
- I prefer reading book before bed.
- Having meal 2 hours before sleep. It helps in deep sleep.
- Forgiving and changing negative thoughts before going to bed.
- Use your bed only to sleep, no reading, eating or studying. It helps fall asleep quickly.
Getting out of bed early:
- To use a physical alarm.
- Not thinking or sleeping in bed after waking up.
- Physical movement and morning sunlight helps awkening.
- The thing which gravitate me and has kept me hooked to wake up early is morning meditation experience. The feel of stillness, peace and happiness that follows throughout the day, i have not experienced any other time of the day.
